Free extensions for Joomla!

The frontpage of my joomla site is running the dinamods module and is causing the page load to hang by five or so seconds. It happens IE 7, FF3.x and Chrome. I have tried disabling the tabs one at a time.

It does not matter what tabs are loaded, as long as the module is published the page hangs.

I installed the updated Default TMPL file, did not resolve.

I have a slideshow on the front page that I disabled, thinking there was a conflict but that did not resolve the problem.
