I suppose this only can be solved by adding some kind of query that selects created_by_alias as an alternative to created_by?

This is a very important feature. There are so many situations - magazines for example - where the author alias is used. Thus it is important to have lists over authors that are not Joomla users.

I just stumbeled upon this really nice component, but I can't use it if it doesn't list "author alias" as well. Please add this to the wish list.
