Free extensions for Joomla!

It would be nice if support of Unicode aliases in Joomla 1.6 is added. I'm building a site based on an Internationalized Domain Name, but Xmap 2.0 RC 1 still doesn't support them.

P.S. It seems to me that Xmap 2.0 RC1 doesn't work when

is written in Unicode.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi, I don't have any experience working with internationalized domains, but I can't think on any reason why Xmap won't work with those. Probably if you detail a little on what is the problem that you are having I can have a better idea of what are we talking about.. So, why do you say that Xmap doesn't support them?

First of all about Unicode Alias in general (Russian Language)



If I leave the Alias field blank or fill it with UTF-8 characters, it gives me instead a combination of numbers. See the image below



About the Joomla 1.6 core aliases: I have to say that UTF-8 aliases works fine while adding some articles



You can test by yourself sitemap (english) = Карта сайта (Russian)
