Site won't load with module active after a few days
This is the same issue I had with GlobalNews as described here....
http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/forum?view=topic&f=11&t=2016
I started using Filtered news a week ago and its been great. But tonight, the site's front page (where the module is) takes forever to load...almost 4 minutes.....

If I switch off the module, the site loads fine. If I place images in articles with relative paths instead of complete URLs, the module works again. No matter if I set the module to have a cache or no cache, the module still won't work.
I also note that when the page finally does load, the articles (which all should have an image showing in the module) are now being displayed without any images at all in the module.
This is really odd given that for a week the module was working fine...but this is the same thing that happened with the GlobalNews module in testing....my test site just stopped working after a few days.
Any suggestions?
Phil

Re: Site won't load with module active after a few days
Very strange. I'm wondering is this is some sort of really odd caching issue? What happens is the module works great for a few days, then the site crawls to a halt.
Empty site and server caches didn't seem to do anything, and the slow load time (4 minutes+) was on both Mac and PC.
The solution is to either adjust all image links to be relative rather than absolute (which isn't great anyway as that means articles that get emailed out have broken images) or set the module to not display images.
Then, some 48 hours later, I decided to try again and let images de displayed...and it worked. This is despite nothing really being changed.
I fully expect the site to crawl to a halt in a week or so again??
