[SOLVED] XML missing Articles

My HTML sitemap is working/displaying perfectly. The XML is not. If I have as an example:

Menu Item
Item A
Item B
Item C

The "Menu Item" is shown in Xmap XML sitemap, but "Item A, B or C" only shows in the HTML sitemap and is missing from the XML. Have I done something wrong or is it a bug?

I am using the most up to date software version of Xmap on Joomla 2.5.8

Problem solved. Changed the parent menu item to point to an article rather than a menu item alias and all is well.

I have the same problem, but arueder's solution does not seem to apply as all my menu items already point to single articles.

The strange thing is that an apparently identical submenu structure from the main menu does show up in both html and xml.

Using Joomla! 2.5.8 and xmap 2.3.2, dual language site (italian and english), on hostpapa. Further details on request.

Any ideas anyone?
