VirtueMart plugin not doing anything

Hi! I just installed a fresh Joomla 1.5.3, Xmap 1.1 and tried, in Legacy mode, to install the VirtueMart plugin.

It seemed to install successfully, I can tweak its options and publish it, but nothing actually happens in the site maps. I checked both html and xml versions.

Any suggestions?

Do you have any menu item pointing to virtuemart component?

No I do not. Do I have to ?

I use a Joomla module to generate a menu..

I would also like to keep it this way, I don't really want to include the component in the menu if it's possible :)


LE: Ok I included the VirtueMart component in a menu, just for a test, and it now shows the categories in the sitemap. But the products are not shown, although I selected the option "All" in the options..

You mean that you selected the option "Always" in the options for Virtuemar Extension?

Yes, I selected the option "Always" for Show products, in the options of the VirtueMart extension.

Any clues what's going on?

I'm using Joomla 1.5.3, as I stated before.

Do you see any error in your php error log?

Now, after I installed the 1.5 Version I do see errors:

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php/') in /mounted-storage/home98c/sub009/sc43617-FAYP/specialtools.ro/nou/components/com_virtuemart/virtuemart_parser.php on line 74

The XML sitemap still doesn't show products and the HTML stopped working with the above error...

Hi, thanks for your cooperation. I have added a fix for this issue to the extension. Can you please download it again and let me know how does it work for you?

Thank you for the support.

I have installed the new extension version 1.0.1 and the error is gone.

The sitemap works.. but still the products aren't listed neither in the HTML sitemap nor XML sitemap.
