unwriteable css and other files

Hello,

I'm using xmap, the css file states writeable, however whenever I select the save button it does not seem to work. Also, I attempted to exclude a menu id, but after doing so, 1- it did not exclude, 2- all my settings like "include menu titles" are gone and I can not bring back.

Please help.
