Installation complete, backend not working

Postby jeltzroth » Sun Jul 27, 2008 4:15 pm

I just installed Xmap 1.1 for Joomla 1.5. I am using Joomla 1.5.3, PHP 5.1.6, and MySQL 5.0.22. I have legacy mode turned on. Xmap generates a sitemap for the Main Menu, which displays properly with a menu link. The backend control panel displays with no errors, but when I try to do something, it freezes. For example, if I try to review preferences, it displays "Loading..." in the upper right and nothing happens. This is true on Firefox 3.0 and IE7. I cannot add menus or create additional sitemaps. What do you suggest?

Hi, can you please tell me if you see anything in your php error log file?

Also, please check the javascript error console in firefox and tell me if you have any error reported there!

Thanks!

Hi, i have same problem.

I can add that:

1. console shows that there are no javascript errors
2. server returns a header code 302 and redirect on page with text "
The request is not safe and was rejected."

I get the same thing but I think I figured out why.

It seems it might be because of mod_security which is complaining about it.

Here is the error in the apache error log:

[Tue Sep 22 15:56:18 2009] [error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] mod_security: Access denied with code 403. Pattern match "!(^application/x-www-form-urlencoded$|^multipart/form-data;)" at HEADER("Content-Type") [id "9001"] [severity "EMERGENCY"] [hostname "www.xxx.com"] [uri "/administrator/index2.php?option=com_xmap&task=ajax_request&no_html=1"] [unique_id "-dwde38AAAEAAGGFRb8AAAAI"]

I know its possible to search the mod_security logs but there doesn't seem to be be anything in them about this error.

It is also possible to disable specific mod_security blocks from the .htaccess file but I don't know how to disable this one.
