Duplicated Items

Hi,

I have just installed xmap 1.2 but have duplicated menu items displaying. I am running Joomla 1.5.5. Any ideas on how to fix?

Hi, could you please tell me which items are duplicated in your site map? Because it's a little big!

Thanks for your reply.

The duplicated items are under the News, Sport and Lifestyle categories but...

I have just uninstalled xmap and deleted the backup tables in phpmyadmin in order to try a fresh install.

I'll let you know how I get on.

The Local, National and World categories (and articles) are duplicated

Sport
All categories (and articles) are duplicated

Lifestyle
Multiple categories (and articles) are duplicated

I have checked in Joomla and the sql tables and these are not duplicated there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, are you using Xmap's cache feature? If yes, please try cleaning the cache.

I'm not using the cache feature, but I hit Clean cache a few times for luck anyway. Made no difference though. Any more ideas? Would really like to use this component!

Hi, I think I have found the reason of that, but it could be only possible if you are using PHP 4, are you?

Please try replacing your file
/administrator/components/com_xmap/extensions/com_content.php by the one in the attachment:

com_content.zip

Or replace the line

Code: Select all

   function prepareMenuItem($node) {

by

Code: Select all

   function prepareMenuItem(&$node) {

in that same file.
