Quotes in VirtueMart Category and Product Names

When a VM Product Name or Category Name contains a quote, the map entry contains an unwanted backslash. This suggests that the vm extension escapes the string rather than convert special html characters. When the same strings are processed as regular menu labels, they are handled correctly.

Hi, I couldn't reproduce the problem, I modified the product name and added a single quote, and a doble quote, and the title is showed correctly in the map, which version of Xmap and virtuemart plugin are using?

I'm sorry but when I went back and looked again at the map, the problem is in the Category Name and not the Product Name. I do also have an example of a product name containing a double quote and it displays correctly.
I am using Xmap v 1.2 for J1.5 with what I believe to be the latest version of the VM plugin (the file indicates that it is v1.0.1 but in the Xmap backend it declares itself to be v1.1.0 (perhaps that refers to the VM compatibility?))

The new version of the VM plugin is a great improvement. I had three issues:

1 - Incorrect display of category name when a quote is included - now fixed
2 - Duplication of parts of the product structure when the menu includes categories that are not top level items - now fixed
3 - Display the complete product structure when a menu item links to a VM page that is not supposed to show products at all (in my case, account maintenance) - this is still a problem
