Install problem w/Version 1.2.3 on Joomla 1.5.15

It appears that xmap 1.2.12 and Akeeba 3.3.b1 still are NOT playing well together.

i am having a similar problem. I am trying to instal xmap 1.2.12 on Joomla 1.5.22. No other problems with installing other modules/plugins/extension etc and i have reinstalled Xmap twice.
I get an error message of:

here is not created sitemaps yet
ERROR: Unable to load Settings from Database: Create Settings table
Table 'tryheari_9604994.trh_xmap_sitemap' doesn't exist SQL=INSERT INTO trh_xmap_sitemap (`name`,`expand_category`,`expand_section`,`show_menutitle`,`columns`,`exlinks`,`ext_image`,`menus`,`exclmenus`,`includelink`,`usecache`,`cachelifetime`,`classname`,`count_xml`,`count_html`,`views_xml`,`views_html`,`lastvisit_xml`,`lastvisit_html`,`excluded_items`,`compress_xml`) VALUES ('New Sitemap','1','1','1','1','1','img_grey.gif','mainmenu,0,1,1,0.5,daily','','1','0','15','xmap','0','0','0','0','0','0','','0')

From reading here, it looks like i may have a problem with Akeeba backup. I think Organic Spiders solution may be the one but.... i cant follow his instructions. Can i have them in NOOB format??

......and if you want to get back again the Akeeba System Restore functionality after the Xmap install, then go to the Akeeba Menu run the option "Configuration Wizard".

That should sort it out for you.

Sorry, I have read all the previous post and note the point regarding the disabling the akeeba system-system restore plugin but
1. I can not find this plugin in my lisining - no matter how many times I look
2. There is no option at the end of page in install component screen and to select the option to revert to standard installer.

I am using akeeba core 3.3 and Xmap 2.2.1 and still get the following message using joomla 1.5

Unable to load Settings from Database: Create Settings table
Any guidance would be great
