cache not working - folder empty

Hi,

I have enabled the xmap cache, but the xmap folder stays empty. It seems like the cache file is not used.

Why is this?

using xmap 1.2.11, joomla 1.5. Joomla cache is off.

I seemarcob bumped this problem back in september. Has this problem been resolved. I am refering to version 1.2.14 for J1.5.

This is rather a priority as the larger a sitemap gets the longer it takes to generate and without caching the sitemap has to regenerate EVERY time.

Surely this is not a major problem to fix?!

Hi, what cache folder are you talking about? Latests versions of Xmap are using Joomla's cache folder to store the sitemap instead of the one in the component's folder.

Make sure that your cache folder is writable by the web user.
