2.0 RC1 ... archived articles NOT showing
Hi,
After googling and searching here... found that people want to hide the archived articles.
That's not my case... I have around 9000 archived articles that are not showing up on the sitemap... it only shows published... do I need to activate something in the content plugin?
Also I have a question... I think it's great the idea of creating different sitemaps... works great in joomla 1.6... but I have the installed xmap 4 jomsocial plugin.
Is there a way to restrict a plugin to a sitemap...example.
backend plugin page:
I have content plugin ON and xmap 4 jomsocial ON
In the sitemap page:
I would like to have 1 sitemap just for the content plugin
And another sitemap just for the plugin xmap 4 jomsocial
Is this possible?
Thanks

Great thank...almost lost my hopes here
The fix will be for the archive articles not showing in sitemap?
or
Assign a plugin just to a sitemap?
or Both?
When is the released expected.... google SEO is killing me, have around 9000 links + missing from the sitemap.

Hi, the fix will be for the archived articles. For the extension, I think you can exclude the menu items that you don't want to get included in your sitemap manually. Something like this:
Create the sitemap.
- Visit the HTML version in the frontend while logged in as a super administrator user
- Uncheck any unwanted menu item (the parent only, that will auto-exclude the children)
- Visit your XML sitemap to see the results or logout an re visit your HTML sitemap
I think that will accomplish what you want to do. I'm planning a new feature on Xmap to allow custom extensions settings by sitemap and probably you will be able to disable or enable a extension independently for each sitemap, but that will take a little longer...

Well, there is not going to be a RC2, actually, I just released the version Xmap 2.0, maybe by the next weekend we will have a new release with some small fixes and some small new features.

Hello Guillermo,
Already upgraded to 2,0 final... looking good.
Any news about the update to show archived articles... google is killing me.
Already drop 2 points in google rank
and craw erros are huge now that all that archive articles are not showing in my sitemap.
Do you think you will have something ready this weekend? I'm willing to be a beta tester
