error with Joomla 1.7.1 + pkg_com_xmap-2.0 [solved]

Postby pe7er » Thu Oct 13, 2011 12:08 pm

On my local Ubuntu + LAMP desktop PC I tried to install pkg_com_xmap-2.0.zip at my new Joomla 1.7.1 website, but got the error "Error building Admin Menus".

It looks like all parts of the extension have been installed:
Name Location Status Type Version Date Author Folder ID
Xmap Administrator Published Component 2.0 2011-04-10 Guillermo Vargas N/A 10009
Xmap - Content Plugin Site Unpublished Plugin 2.0 01/26/2011 Guillermo Vargas xmap 10010
Xmap - Kunena Plugin Site Unpublished Plugin 2.0.1 September 2007 Guillermo Vargas xmap 10011
Xmap - Mosets Tree Plugin Site Unpublished Plugin 2.0 07/20/2011 Guillermo Vargas xmap 10013
Xmap Package Site Published Package 2.0.0 Unknown Unknown N/A 10014
Xmap - SobiPro Plugin Site Unpublished Plugin 2.0 07/15/2011 Guillermo Vargas xmap 10012

However, some parts have "Folder" N/A.
But I can see
/administrator/components/com_xmap/ + files
/components/com_xmap/ + files

But the component is not available under de Administrator Components menu.
Did I something wrong or is pkg_com_xmap-2.0 not compatible with Joomla 1.7.1 ?

Hi pe7er,

Glad to hear that it worked for you, I still don't know what was the problem or if it's still happening to others with the latest version... :s

Hopefully it's finally fixed!
