Can't uninstall Xmap (Joomla 1.7.0)
I am so new to Joomla. My website is on Joomla 1.7.0. At first, I installed Xmap 2.1, it was successful. After that I tried to set Xmap at back-end, an error popped up.
--------------------------------
an Error appears:
406 Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /administrator/index.php could not be found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
------------------------------------
I asked my hosting and they modified the security, the above error disappeared. Then, I decided to delete all Xmap file via CPanel which I thought it would solve all the problem and allowed me to re-install Xmap. But It didn't follow as planned. The previous error has gone but yet another has came up (This error happened when trying to install Xmap for the 2nd time at back-end)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
JFolder: :files: Path is not a folder. Path: /home/yotzza5/public_html/administrator/components/com_xmap
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
JFolder: :files: Path is not a folder. Path: /home/yotzza5/public_html/administrator/components/com_xmap
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
JFolder: :delete: Path is not a folder. Path: /home/yotzza5/public_html/administrator/components/com_xmap
JFolder: :delete: Path is not a folder. Path: /home/yotzza5/public_html/components/com_xmap
Could not delete the administrator menus.
Component Uninstall: Can't uninstall. Please remove manually
------------------------------------------------------------
I did clear caches at back-end and rechecked at Extension > Manage > Search "Xmap", files are still existing but I can't uninstall it. Please noted that I've already deleted all Xmap files in CPanel.
Could anyone please help me to completely remove Xmap in Back-end?
Thanks,

Re: Can't uninstall Xmap (Joomla 1.7.0)
Hi, I think that what you should do is to re-upload the files manually as they were before and then trying to uninstall it again.
You can get the files with the correct structure from github:
https://github.com/guilleva/Xmap/tags
After you have restored your files the uninstall process should work correctly.
