XML not generated

HI,
I am having issues with Xmap.
When i click on XML sitemap, a new tab opens but all i get is an empty window.
Note: HTML sitemap was generated but only 4966 links but the site haves over 5300 articles.
When i click on New sitemap, a xml is generated for 92 links.
My biggest issues with the XML sitemap not generating. May it be because of the site being too big?
