[Xmap 2.2.1] RewriteRule isn´t any longer working

The rewrite option to use sitemap.xml as mentioned here:
http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/en/documentation/34-xmap-2/how-to/108-xmap-sitemap-as-sitemapxml
is no longer working.

If I try to impement that and try to visit my website I got the error:

Code: Select all

500 - View not found [name, type, prefix]: xml, xml, xmapView


I can also reproduce the error message above on the vargas.co.cr website. If you visit:
http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/en/index.php?option=com_xmap
you get a error message. But if you try:
http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/en/?option=com_xmap
It works...

I started a posting there, because at first I thought it wasn´t a bug. But since I can reproduce the issue not, I´m sure it should be posted in bugs as well.
