Cannot Install after unsuccessful removal

We cannot remove Xmap after a failed installation and we cannot re-install it all...it just fails every time.

Can you please advise as to how to install when there has been a failed install.

We tried manually uploading files as was suggested here that did not work.

This is pretty upsetting that we cannot get the thing installed.
