Extensions Installation

I've tried to install 2 extensions (VM & FB).
I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in .../administrator/components/com_xmap/classes/XmapPluginInstallerJ15.php on line 49

uploading the extensions manually doesn't do anything...

I've tried this on my local installation.
when administrator language is not English there is a big mess.
Setting the administrator language back to English I got the extensions installed, but I still get this notice:

(but the extensions is listed)
