Ping feature every X minutes

It would be a nice option to ping Google every choosen minutes and tell him that the sitemap has been updated. This option is included in vBseo sitemap and helps a lot with search engines.

You don't ping Google; they ping you. The purpose of a dynamic sitemap is so that when they do, they get the very latest site map.

I kind of disagree mate, you have to ping google with the news in your sitemap. I also know this feature from phpBB-seo-premod.

I think there has to be a section in the sitemap with the new content.
