contacting google by ping

When I used the XML-Sitemap of OpenSEF (which is no longer supported) I had the option that the component contacts google by a ping when the sitemap has changed, so google updated their databas automatically imdiatelly.

Did you hear about such a feature. I think this would be very helpful. Could you add that feature?
