Link for Xmap

I have been looking for an editor add-in which enables you to add menu links to an article rather than just an article link, and the Link for Xmap plug-in looked like JUST what I needed - except it is only for J1.5!!
Any chance we can have a 2.5 / 3.0 version of this plugin? Please, pretty please!
