How to upgrade from 1.0.1 to 1.1?
I have a production 1.5 site running in legacy mode.
I want to update to version 1.1. without messing up my site.
I haven't found any instructions on the site or in the forum.
Can someone please advise a safe way to upgrade or do I have to uninstall and start again with the new version?

Hi, yes, you need to reinstall the component. It saves the configuration to be used in the future. Just make sure all the extensions (if any) that you use are ported to Xmap 1.1
Please let me know if you have any trouble!

OK, so just to be extra sure:
1. I have to delete the current installed version 1.0.4
I install the new version of XMAP 1.1
or
2. I install over the existing copy
It seems to me that my site will break if I follow 1 as the sitemap page and links to it will not function.
Can I just unzip the 1.1 version of XMAP and simply replace the com_ folders in administrator/components and components. This might give me a quick way back if things go wrong... or is the database updated removing the option to "roll back" to an earlier version?
This is an important productions site I really can't afford to break it. :(
