GOOGLE SAYS: Unsupported file format

Sent google sitemap using sitemap.html since I'm using Joomla core SEF. On google, the error is "Unsupported file format
Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit." What needs to be sent to them?

Hi, you need to send the XML sitemap url.

Check the sitemap preferences for the xml sitemap url.

I'm using Xmap 1.1 on Jommla 1.0.15 on two sites at the same hosting provider.

The problem is, that on domain/site http://www.boxerclub-bg.org/ i receive the "Usuppported file format" mesage and on the other one http://www.yogaclubmarea.org/ everything is ok.

Hi, the xml sitemap for the boxerclub-bg.org looks fine to me. Did you submit the right url to google sitemaps?

Solution found:

The link generated by the component, has been opened in new browser tab(window) and saved as .XML. The fale has been uploaded to the joomla root and then supplied to google.

Sitemap has been successfully approved.

This works fine for me on several different sites... are you using an SEF/SEO component to rewrite URLs?

just want to add the numbers on the same exact problem. HTML sitemap works very well, and XML is causing 404 errors. In fact, my XML file doesn't display any links anymore after upgrading to
Joomla 1.5.4

Please advise.
