XML Parsing Error (Xmap 1.1)

The following is my error message:

XML Parsing Error: XML or text declaration not at start of entity
Location: index.php?option=com_xmap&sitemap=2&view=xml&no_html=1
Line Number 1, Column 21: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

I have virtuemart plugin installed. I looked in the plugin php file to make sure there's no exra blank line at the end.

I tried using the replacement xmap.xml.php file you posted in the above-mentioned thread, but no change.

Please advise.

[EDIT] I found the extra blank line in joomla configuration.php file, which I removed and Xmap started parsing fine. Thanks.
