Xmap installation error

Hello -

I am using PHP4 and Joomla 1.5.2 I had a problem with the Virtuemart component not installing. I decided to uninstall and then re-install to see if a fix had been incorporated within the latest version.

I uninstalled successfully, but re-install of the latest version of Xmap rendered the following errors:

Warning: setadapter(/home/newho27/public_html/libraries/joomla/installer/adapters/xmap_ext.php) [function.setadapter]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/newho27/public_html/libraries/joomla/installer/installer.php on line 217

Fatal error: setadapter() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/newho27/public_html/libraries/joomla/installer/adapters/xmap_ext.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/newho27/public_html/libraries/joomla/installer/installer.php on line 217

Any ideas as to the problem?

Thanks for the reply, the errors documented above happened when trying to re-install the Xmap component, not an extension. At this point, I don't have Xmap installed.

Is there a problem with the install script?

Hi, could you try renaming the file "com_xmap.xml" to something like "1xmap.xml"
