No control
Perhaps this is a great component - I don't know yet, but I hope.
I have installed and that went fine. I have a sitemap, put I can't controll it... I think something is wrong with the console - all I get is this:
And the only link on the page doesn't work?!?!
What is wrong?
I have tried to find some documentation about Xmap, but I haven't found it, so I don't know how the console was ment to look...
Please help

Re:No control
Hi Uffe, looks like the browser isn't loading the css file neither the js files. Can you please check the page source and search for admin.js, mootools.js and admin.css
If they are there, then please check they exists on your server under /administrator/components/com_xmap directory
Please come back with any news about this!

Re:No control
Hi Guilleva
Thank you for your reply. Looking at the page source, I could not find any attempt to load the files you mention.
So I tried to change the Administrator Template from "BluePlazza Admin" which I have been using for months without any problems to the standard "Joomla Admin", and that made the difference. Now I can add menus, change options and so on.
It is the first time that I have problems using another administrator template than the default, but now I will just use the default...
regards
Uffe

Re:No control
Hi,
I am getting exactly the same problem. I have only the default template for the admin area, and i have also checked to see if the 3 files are present, they are.
I have joomla ecommerce edition 1.13
Just thought I'd let you know.
Love & Peace

Hi antony, when you said the files are presents, you mean in the source code or in the server?
Does your Xmap admin interface looks like in the previous image?

Re:No control
Hi again,
The three files are showing up in the source, and are physically present on the server.
The xmap interface looks just the same as above, up to "Xmap configuration", above that is blank, it seems it is not showing the menu.
Thanks for spending time on this, I am at the moment trying to build my own sitemap by hand - very boring.

Re:No control
UPDATE,
Been busy with other stuff, but I thought I would have another peek, at xmap. It seems that one of the css files are not being loaded, here the message in the error console from firefox.....
Warnung: Unbekannte Eigenschaft 'filter'. Deklaration ignoriert.
Quelldatei: https://www.trash-clothing.de/administrator/templates/joomla_admin/css/theme.css
Zeile: 30
and here the section it is reffering to. Maybee it has something to do with my custom site template?....
.ThemeOfficeSubMenu
{
position: absolute;
visibility: hidden;
/*
Netscape/Mozilla renders borders by increasing
their z-index. The following line is necessary
to cover any borders underneath
*/
z-index: 100;
border: 0;
padding: 0;
overflow: visible;
border: 1px solid #8C867B;
filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Shadow(color=#BDC3BD, Direction=135, Strength=4);
}
Does this help?

Hi huilleva, i have the same problem and i've looked into the source. I've found none of the three files you've mentioned and i've found this lines that may help (i hope) since another user reported the problem:
..
What can i do so i won't have to change the template (site's layout) ?!
I'm not proficient with php but i'm not scared to modify the sources if that may be necessary.
Thank you.
Edit: it seems that i was usig an administrator template (quite nice), i've switched to the default one and now i have the controls, and futher problems:
- i've mistakenly created a new sitemap wich i can't delete. it dosn't say anithing, just makes me waiting forever
- the same with preferences, after i click, the box with loading preferences apears and then nothing .. i wait and wait and nothing ..
Why nothing happens ?!
Edit: i can only change something from the jos_xmap_sitemap table, which is frustrating enough, but i can't find the option to create the xml sitemap to feed to google/sitemaps
The extension still doesn't repond to any commands, at best it shows a loading and that's it.
Any ideeas why is that ?!
