Error administration building menus

Hi Vargas,
When I try to install the Xmap pkg_com_xmap-2.0 or pkg_com_xmap-2.1 in Joomla 1.7.2, get the following error message: Error building administration menus.
And indeed no component appears and its links in the Joomla admin panel!
Can you help me please?

Hi, that error happens some times and I don't know what does causes it! :s

Did you have another version of Xmap previously installed?

Hi. First of all I ask sorry for my poor English since it is not my mother language.
I have found your extension very useful in the past, I have upgraded my website from j1.5 to j2.5 and unfortunately I have had the same issue which people a re complaining about in this post. Additionally, the url posted above (http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/es/forum?task=viewtopic&f=2&t=3464&p=7265#p7265), returns a 404 error.
I have tried to find the tables that x map generates in database via php my admin but did not find any.

At this point me and probably the people that wrote in this post and the ones that have the same issue but not write to support forum would appreciate any help in solving this that is a really draw back.
