Component does not show

I have used X-map in the past with great results. I just built a NEW site using Joomla 1.7 Site and tried to install X-Map. I get no fails and I enable the Plug in but when I go to the Component there is nothing there???

Nothing to select at all but it shows in the Admin Menu. I removed it but get a warning that it was previously installed??? Checked my tables (SQL) and there is nothing there. Tried to reinstall and same results.

I love X-Map - Anyone else have this issue?

Using Joomla 1.7.3

All other parameters PHP meet requirements.
