French translation of xml sitemap

Hi all

I have a requirement in Joomla 1.5 to create both English and French xml sitemaps. The site is live in both the languages using Joomla 1.5 with JoomFish. I have few questions

a. Can I create both English and French sitemaps? Just like below

http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/en/sitemap
http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/es/mapa-del-sitio

b. The above urls does not end with .xml? Are they in XML format?
