Links within articles

I have used the xmap component before many times on Joomla 1.5 sites without issue, but now I'm on joomla 2.5.6 and am having trouble.

I can generate a sitemap, but it only has the items linked directly from the menus. It is far from a complete sitemap. It didn't even pickup the links from the weblinks component, although that plugin is enabled (as is the "content" plugin. In fact these are the only 2 plugins for xmap that are enabled).

I'm using the default settings on the plugins.

I was also confused like many others posting here about the "options in the upper right corner". There are none there, but there is an Options panel on the right in a generated sitemap in the backend (Menus|Options|News Sitemap). Are those the options being referred to in the FAQ?

I have a very simple site (www.shamansjoy.com) and there are links to articles within articles that aren't in any menu. I expected xmap to list all pages in the sitemap. A simple crawling algorithm would do that easily, so why is xmap missing them? Am I missing something I need to do?
