XMap has broken back end admin of Joomla 1.5.26

XMap has broken Administration panel for Joomla 1.5.25
The admin loads but admin panel but not the top of the admin menu. So, I can't do anything from the top menu of the admin. I installed XMap 1.2.14
All I see in the browser, after the control panel loads, is waiting for the domain name to respond in the browser. The control panel works - but there seems to be no way to get to the menu.
Is there some way to uninstall it without the back-end?
It's a huge real estate site and the front end is working but my client can't add new sites or change modules etc. Please inform me on what could have gone wrong?
