Xmap not working... what I am doing wrong?

I am using joomla 3.0 and I just downladed and installed xmap without any error notification, using the extension manager functionality. When I go to components->Xmap it appears an empty list. If I click the green button upside the web is trying to make something but nothing occurs, resulting in the same page. What I'm doing wron?

PD: I have the extension plugin activated.

Yes the same, there is no paramiters on the right hand side when setting up in the back end. I am sure it works OK in 2.5 but whoops I don't think it works in Joomla 3. Can designers sort this out please. Or tell me what I am doing wrong? Have followed instructions but alas as stated where there should be the normal settings form on the right hand side there is none. There is however 4 little links just at the top where you put the title in. Clicking on these alters the browser nav bar but don't actially do anything.
I get the page to display and I get my title "Site Map" to display but there is no content?
I wonder why it cannot be a standard feature in Joomla?

Failing this can someone please tell me a site map that actuly works in Joomla 3. Cause non I have tried do!

There's no tech support in this forum whatsoever. I have an open question with almost 40 views and no answer for days.
