Gallery Thumbnail with no photos in gallery

I've set up my gallery where I have several sub galleries below the main gallery. I want to change the thumbnail for the main gallery so that it doesn't use the stock "folder" icon. I want it to display a photo of my choosing. However I don't want any photos uploaded in the main gallery because they are all in sub galleries. Is there a way to assign a photo to the main gallery thumbnail without uploading one and having it show in the main gallery?

Hi, Im sorry, currently there is not possible to do that through the web interface, just modifying the database directly.

I think that could be a cool feature to add for the next release! I'm going to work on it

thanks for looking into that. I actually found a work around for this issue although it would be nice to not have to do this but it works well. If you add a photo into the gallery and set the access to only Super Administrator it will still let you select it to be the thumbnail image for that gallery but it won't be viewed inside the gallery unless you are logged in as a super admin. So, I was able to pick the photo I wanted and it won't show up to my guests on the site. It only shows up if I am logged in.
