Re:newbie question
Marshall, It seems like your top menu is missing an Item such as "Table - content category" or "content-section", because those are the kind of items the sitemap needs in order to expand. If it is so, first thing, try creating such a new Item in your topmenu.

Hi, your category is expanded! I can see three item under "Sitemap".
What you mean with the same thing with your sitemap?

Re:newbie question
Thanks Marshall,
When I try to get into the Xmap component, I get this message:
You are not authorised to view this resource
But, what I can see, I think you have disabled several items of your menu on Xmap and thats why those are not displayed on the sitemap.
In the top menu you have a itemp called Sitemap linked to a section but this is not displayed on your sitemap maybe for the same reason of the others: this item is excluded on the preferences of the sitemap. Is that true?

Re:newbie question
Thanks again Marshall, now I can see what you mean!! The problem is the following:
When there is a separator menu as a parent of other menus, then this is not expanded on the sitemap. You have found a bug, thanks for your help and cooperation on this. Attached you can download a fix for this. Replace the file /components/com_xmap/xmap.php for the one inside this patch!
