Access Level For Zoom Gallery Component
Hi everybody. I installed Zoom Gallery component on my Joomla 1.5. I use component without problem. But i want only the registered members can join the Zoom Gallery component. At joomla 1.0.X we were doing it throw the General Setting. For example the visitors were able to see title of component but they weren't opening it.
But there is no way on Joomla 1.5 like this. There is just for the articles.
Can anybosy help me! I know lots of people have got same problem.

This was a known bug, you can either donate and receive the new version or search the forum:
I think http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/Forum?func=view&id=969&catid=7 solves you're problem as well.

Re:Access Level For Zoom Gallery Component
This isn't the answer of my question. Thank you for reply but the explain , which you sent me as link isn't about my problem.
I want to show the pictures to the visitors on the front-page, but they have to register to go Zoom Gallery component. If they click picture, they have to register to site.
We were doing it at Joomla 1.0.X by Main Setting. But there is no way on Joomla 1.5 like this. There is just for the articles.
Note: I don't want the users to add picture to the gallery.
I am waiting for help.

Re:Access Level For Zoom Gallery Component
Sorry to have misunderstood your question.
So you want your guests (not registered users) to view your images?
Or you don't want them to see it?
The user manager at the main setting is only to configure what type of users are allowed to edit, upload create pictures
However within each gallery you create you can specifiy who is allowed to see the images. (second tab)
If you want to control the whole media gallery, it might be able to change your site menu to have it only visible for the correct group?
Hope this answer is more useful, otherwise I think I don't understand the problem yet.

Re:Access Level For Zoom Gallery Component
I want my guests (not registered users) to view images. They can see pictures on frontpage.
I use a modul on frontpage to show pictures to visitors (anybody). Through this module I can show the pictures in zoom media to visitors on frontpage.
And anybody can click and see the gallery and click again and see big forms of pictures.
I want the users (not registered users) can see pictures but when they click any pictures they can not join the zoom media gallery component. When they click any picture on frontpage Zoom Media Gallery will say "You have to login the site".
And like you sad within each gallery we create we can specifiy who is allowed to see the images. (second tab) But when I do this, everybody can see zoom gallery tittle on menu but when tehey click they can not see that gallery file. Because it is open just for registered users then.
You ask "If you want to control the whole media gallery, it might be able to change your site menu to have it only visible for the correct group?"
Yes I want to control whole media gallery, and I am trying to show the media gallery menu tittle to everybody. And when they click they must register to join.
We were doing it at Joomla 1.0.X But now we haven't got an options at Joomla 1.5.X
By tha way therev are some components for Group Access on www.joomla.org like JUGA. But ? visited that demo in their website, it isn't a component like ? want. With JUGA you have to always change all members at each times.
Ok. I hope I could explain my question.

Strange problem,
All I can think of is that the album or the images have no public access set somewhere. I don't think I can help you out, sorry.

Re:Access Level For Zoom Gallery Component
Hi, I think you are asking about the "Show Unauthorized Links" option. I Joomla 1.0 this is on the Global Configuration, but in Joomla 1.5 this is within the articles global configuration. I don't know if it affects to all kind of menu items. Anyway, if this is the problem, thats not a issue with zoom or any other component but a Joomla issue.

Re:Access Level For Zoom Gallery Component
I'm sorry, I forget to tell you where to find that option on Joomla 1.5. In you backend, go to Content->Article Manager and there you should click over the parameters button, on the right top of the page.

Re:Access Level For Zoom Gallery Component
Unfortunately, it dosen't affect to all kind of menu items..(Content->Article Manager->Parameters) I tried it before. Maybe somebody write a little bit script for this. Like firebord component.. Little script: I can not do this.
We need code like that:
If user registered then show gallery, else write "You have to login first."
