Re:Remove Zoom Thumb Coder on User System (+ voting)
My voting now works (when someone votes they get a 'Your vote has been counted! Thank you.' message).
However, if a user just refreshes the page and votes again, the second vote is counted. So the same user could manipulate votes by just repeatedly refreshing and voting over and over again.
Just checking that there is not an error with my install (or a conflict with something like there was before) and that this is the way ZMG is supposed to work?
Thanks

Hi, yes, that's the way ZMG works. The voting and comment systems of ZMG are too simple and therefore featureless. Those are some of the things I'm working to make better.

Greetings,
I have developed the ZMG extension for sh404SEF.
You can download it from

Thanks for developing the sh404sef plugin.
It works great a, except I am having another issue with voting similar to the one I was having before. Now, when I click any of the stars it does not pick up on it and does not register any vote.
Also, the image thumbs were linking to the wrong images (note: I had newest images at top set).
And also, when uploading an image at the front end, after selecting the gallery to upload in you're taken back to the gallery page (not the upload form as per usual).

Hi, I'm sorry. I forgot to tell you about that. You will need to download the full package and replace your /components/com_zoom/lib/zoom.class.php with the one in the package.
With that, you should have zOOm Media Gallery working with sh404SEF

Thanks.
I replaced that file and the voting system and the thumbs work.
There was an issue with uploading files, but upgrading to the latest sh404sef build (10th July) fixed that.
But when you delete or add images on the front end, all of the links are then assigned to the wrong images. Some links also lead to 404 errors.

Unrelated to the sh404sef plugin: Using the normal component without the plugin it seems that if an apostraphe (') is used in the description of a video when uploading it at the front end, this causes a database failure and the image cannot be uploaded.

Hi, I have fixed both issues. You should update your sh404SEF extension and the file /lib/zoom.class.php again in order to fix those problems.
I really appreciate your patience and cooperation.

Re:Remove Zoom Thumb Coder on User System (+ voting)
No probs. The support here has been excellent! A very happy customer here.
I've done the changes, and there is one (kind of) issue left.
When using the sh404sef plugin, when you delete an image (from the backend or frontend), its url remains and is transferred to the image next to it.
For instance, if your looking at a gallery and delete the top left image. The url for your deleted image becomes the url for the image that was next to it (and is now in the top left). I.e. All the urls move one image across.
This is more easily seen in person than described! (I think you have the links to my site and access info).
If URLs are purged with sh404sef, the problem corrects itself, although purging urls every time an image is deleted probably isn't the easiest solution?

Hi, you are right! I have confirmed the problem, but I'm afraid that this problem doesn't have a nice solution. Because the way ZMG works, that cannot be avoided. The only thing we can do is remove the name of the media of the url and replace it with a number. for eg.
http://mysite.com/family-album/birday-party/1/view.html
http://mysite.com/family-album/birday-party/2/view.html
and so.
I think this is the only way that you don't have to delete the SEF urls every time one image is deleted.
