unable to get sitemap to display like yours (for this site)

No, those permissions are ok! So, I dont't what could be the problem, which version of Joomla do you use?

Hi, maybe could be a problem with the version of Joomla, I haven't tested on 1.5RC1, just on RC2 and RC3

I upgraded to RC2 and am still seeing the same thing. I looked at index2.php to see what the page is actually seeing for content and it is seeing the menu hierarchy. Am I missing something in terms of the css? Am I supposed to link the xmap css file to my css file some how? It might just be a matter of it not seeing the css and therefore not rendering it properly (because it can't see the css) as it is seeing the complete list of menu items?

Sorry, it's not on a public server (it's a local computer not on the web).

I changed the template from my template to the default Beez one and when I click on the Site Map link via Beez, it works and looks great! So I think it has something to do with how I made my template. Is there anything I am supposed to do in the index.php or templateDetails.xml files to make xmap work?

yes, looks like the problem is with the template. I have no idea what could be the problem, maybe you should take a look at it to see if you are modifying something on your template. I don't know, that's really weird!!
