.mov display - no controls

I've tried to upload a .mov file here. However, while it plays fine, the display isn't right - it's only displaying the middle section of the video.

I guess this is likely to be a result of the video dimensions vs player dimensions, but I can't figure out how to change the player size. I really don't want to have to re-encode every video to new dimensions so any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
