Problem: works only in home page

Hello,
i installed global news and i think is a great module, even better than mini_fp.

But I have some problem: even I have set to show globalnews modules in all the pages, it works only in the frontpage and using link from globalinks module. If I click in a link produced by content component module is not shown.

What template are you using? have you tried using a different position for the module?

Yei i tried to change position without result.
I have 5 istances of the module in 5 different positiono but i can see it them only in frontpage or clicking in a link inside the module.
If i go in a page from a menu or from an article modules don't run.

I developed the template but i have no problems with other modules.

I also have this problem. The module only appears on the front page. I am using the Joomlashine JSN Epic Pro template, and placing Global News within an article using the Modules Anywhere extension. The extension works fine with other modules, so that is not the source of the problem.

I have tried various module positions and other templates, but nothing has changed. Has anyone actually used Global News on anywhere other than the front page, and if so are there any specific settings for the module which might affect this?

I'd really like to get the module working on other pages other than the front one because it's quite wonderful and is exactly what I would like for my website. And is there a better way of placing the module on other pages other than inserting it into a content article, using something like Modules Anywhere?

Lastly, how would I edit the block of info about each article in the module? If I want to insert the username as the author, at the moment I am getting "Read more......Fred" where "Fred" is the username. This is not very polished. What I would like is a block of information like this:

<Title of Article>
By <username>
Added on <Creation Date>

I have wandered through the php files for the module, but they are a little complicated for my meagre knowledge of php!

Any answers to these questions would be much appreciated.

Hi!

In your module parameters, do you have "Filter by Section" set to yes? If so, you should try switching it.

About the articles display inside the module, I'm not sure I understand what the issue is, haven't you tried editing the HTML Supported textarea within the module parameters?

Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, filtering by section or category gives the same result. Do you know of any other way of displaying the module on any other pages other than the front page?

As for the text block, please forgive me. I now realise what the HTML block is for.......

Well, I've tried a few extensions with Global News, but cannot get it to display anywhere other than the Front Page. I am using Joomlashine's JSN Epic Pro template. Does anybody have any other ideas about this, or is the module designed only to display on the front page?
