(Square) thumbnails below image

Hi there,
I am quite new to Zoom but have heard good things about it. However, what bugs me is the following:

1.) If I choose the lightbox popup version for viewing images, I cannot see anything but the images themselves - no comments, no rating, no info, no slideshow possible. They are in fact only visible through the other options (No/normal popup) and only in image view, not category view. Are there options to show at least small symbols or anything for slideshow/comments etc. on the gallery view?

2.) Moreover, since I have to switch to image view to get into slideshow (and however^^), is there a way to display thumbnails (and determine the shape of it, i.e. square representations as in the module) of the chosen category below the image? So far there is only the boxes with comments & stuff...
