Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded

Well, I have a very big site, with a lot of content items, and when I go to the sitemap I get this error.

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/brightnews/domains/brightnews.eu/public_html/includes/database.php on line 489

any help is apreciated

You need to increase your maximun execution time for php scripts on your server. You can edit your php.ini file to increase this value, or you can try adding the following line at the start of your /components/com_xmap/xmap.php file (after the "<?php" ) :
