Installs fine, but nothing works
Hi,
Whenever I use an Xmap button in the backend, it says "Loading" and nothing happens.
I've already tried [url=http://joomla.vargas.co.cr/Forum?func=view&id=542&catid=2#542:bb80a49e]the hints in this thread[/url:bb80a49e], but no success.
I'm accessing the backend via a www url, which was also suggested.
Any ideas?

Griaß eich!
I have the same problem with IE7, but with Firefox 2.0.0.12 it works.
But it worked with IE7, before i changed the site to UTF-8 charset.
Maybe it´s a useful hint to solve the problem.
Greetings from Austria!
Andreas

Hi Andreas, hanks for the hint
Are you having the problem with another language than english?
jopie100, can you check if it works under Firefox? Do you get an error on your javascript error console related to xmap?
Thanks to both for your help!

Re:Installs fine, but nothing works
Hey Andreas and Guilliva,
Thanx for the hint, it works excellent in FF. I didnt get any errors in the console.
Thanx!! :)
There might be an explanation though, I run PHP4 (one.com) because I had trouble installing components. I might switch back and see if it works better in PHP5 with IE7 (safe mode though).
In IE7, I also have a content editing problem so hopefully that will hit it...

Hi Thanks everybody for your feedback, I'm going to check it with IE7 on others machines to see if I can find the problem. I'll let you know as soon as I get any solution for this!

Re:Installs fine, but nothing works
Hi !
I seem to be the same problems with my xmap. I just installed the new 1.1 version for joomla 1.5 and all worked fine until wanting to use it. Like some users here, I just get a "loading" popup (right hand side) when changing some parametters, and nothing happens?
I was wondering if the server permissions might have to do something with this. But even if I run a chmod 777 on the xmap component folders(for both admin and users) I still can't get it to run correctly?
I thought that this might be a mysql issue, but when looking at the tables, xmap was able to write its tables.
Any clues? Any help appreciated.
