Install problem w/Version 1.2.3 on Joomla 1.5.15

Postby sackerman » Fri Dec 11, 2009 2:02 pm

I am 'trying' to install Xmap v 1.2.3 on a Joomla 1.5.15 install, however after the component is installed when I navigate to the component page I see the message:
ERROR: Unable to load Settings from Database: Create Settings table
If I select the 'Create Settings Table' link nothing happens. If I select the 'Add Sitemap' link the message:
"Table 'joomlaBase.cms_xmap_sitemap' doesn't exist SQL=INSERT INTO cms_xmap_sitemap (`name`,`expand_category`,`expand_section`,`show_menutitle`,`columns`,`exlinks`,`ext_image`,`menus`,`exclmenus`,`includelink`,`usecache`,`cachelifetime`,`classname`,`count_xml`,`count_html`,`views_xml`,`views_html`,`lastvisit_xml`,`lastvisit_html`,`excluded_items`,`compress_xml`) VALUES ('New Sitemap','1','1','1','1','1','img_grey.gif','mainmenu,0,1,1,0.5,daily','','1','0','15','xmap','0','0','0','0','0','0','','0')" is displayed.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. It seems as if the tables are not being created when the component is installed. I have checked PHP error logs and nothing. I am not having any problems installing any other component, module or plugin, just Xmaps.
CentOS 5.4 64-bit
PHP 5.2.11
MySQL 5.088

Hi, thanks for reporting me that, I have released a new version that fixes this "little" error and another one related to the google news sitemap. Please try the version 1.2.4 and let me know if it works for you!

Thanks again,

Guillermo

I may have found another 'small' bug. When you navigate to the 'Extension' tab and click 'Install' I am getting the message:

'/administrator/components/com_xmap/extensions/ Unwriteable'

when in fact it is not unwriteable. Owner is Apache, Group is Apache, and permissions on directory are 755 and all files are 644. This is on a local development server, same as in previous post. When I navigate to 'Help>System Info>Directory Permission' in Joomla it indicates that all directories are 'Writable', of course it does not list the Xmap directory, but the Xmap directory has same owner/group permissions as all others.

I am having the same problem with com_xmap-1.2.11.zip

ERROR: Unable to load Settings from Database: Create Settings table

/components permissions 777 or 755 do not make a difference.

I have the exactly same problem on my site http://www.TGU2.com now, it's never happened before, I just wanna upgrade my Xmap(from 1.2 to 1.2.11)

I'm use VPS hosting, the other site on the same server is working pretty well.

I've check a post on Joomla forum there said maybe because Harddisk full, But I've checked I still have a lot of free space on my sever.

My PHP version is 5.2.17

Error message as following:

There is not created sitemaps yet
ERROR: Unable to load Settings from Database: Create Settings table
Table 'tgu2.jos_xmap_sitemap' doesn't exist SQL=INSERT INTO --jos_xmap_sitemap (`name`,`expand_category`,`expand_section`,`show_menutitle`,`columns`,`exlinks`,`ext_image`,`menus`,`exclmenus`,`includelink`,`usecache`,`cachelifetime`,`classname`,`count_xml`,`count_html`,`views_xml`,`views_html`,`lastvisit_xml`,`lastvisit_html`,`excluded_items`,`compress_xml`) VALUES ('New Sitemap','1','1','1','1','1','img_grey.gif','mainmenu,0,1,1,0.5,daily','','1','1','600','xmap','0','0','0','0','0','0','','0')

Have the same problem on a brand new installation running J 1.5.23. Site is within a chroot() though other components have installed absolutely fine. Thoughts ?

Okay! Have found the problem. If you are also using AkeebaBackup go to the Install component screen and select the option at the bottom to revert to standard installer. Perhaps the dev of xmap could contact the Akeeba dev about how to use the new rollback feature. Once I had switched back to standard the latest version of xmap installed fine.
