Xmap not formatting HTML sitemap
I am using xmap 2.0 on Joomla 1.7 for my main website site map. I believe I've installed it correctly, and I have made a page on my website so visitors can access the site map and navigate the website easier. I have linked the HTML site map to display. However, there is no structure to the links, they are simply in one long list of text, and have no hierarchy or indentation of any sort. Is there a way to set the structure of the site map to a better structure?
For example:
Menu1
-submenu1
-submenu2
Menu2
etc.
For example:
Menu1
-submenu1
-submenu2
Menu2
etc.

Re: Xmap not formatting HTML sitemap
Hi there,
I have the same requirement. I would like to show a menulink (called "Mapa Web" for example) in order to show the site map as you could do with previous version of site map (Joomla 1.5), with a structure like:
Menu1
-submenu1
-submenu2
Menu2
-submenu1
In this moment I can obtain the site map but without structure: there is just a list of text, without hierarchy or indentation of any sort (see attached file)
Is there any way to get the structure of the site map like before?
Regards,
Daniel H.

Re: Xmap not formatting HTML sitemap
Hi all,
I found the way (in fact is very simple):
1. Add a New Menu item
2. Click on "Select" button (at the right of "Menu Item Type" window).
3. Select "HTML Site Map" in the Xmap options of the window that showed up when you click on the "Select" button (indicated in the previous step)
4. Select the site map (click on "change" button located at the right of your window, under the "Required Settings" parameters).
That is all.
Regards,
Daniel H.

Re: Xmap not formatting HTML sitemap
Hi Daniel,
that is exactely the way I did it. But the result (see attachement) is an unordened list of items: nu sub-categories and sub-sub-categories are shown up.
I'm still waiting for a solution of this problem

Re: Xmap not formatting HTML sitemap
In my case I can see the hierarchy or indentation for the submenu items in the site map.
I am using a native Joomla 1.7.0 template from rockettheme.com (is named camber, from August 2011).

Daniel H.

Re: Xmap not formatting HTML sitemap
unfortunately I have the same problem!!
I use the camber template and I see my site map as a flat map!!! the same as all of you describe. but I have heard that it must be because of css classes!!
As there is no support I switched to jwcrawler!! it works very nice but I have heard that Xmap is the best!! anyway....I hate the xmap support team

Yeah---same problem here. All the links on the menu just show up aligned left with no hierarchy.

Re: Xmap not formatting HTML sitemap
We created our own style and assigned it to the outout and it works fine...just have to do a little creative coding.
