XMap Timeouts - Google Errors. Site Not Indexing (I'm New!)

A couple of things

‌• I'm new here
‌• I'm using Joomla 1.5 in Legacy Mode
‌• I'm not running XMap 2.0 (and cannot upgrade to it)
‌• I've submitted my sitemap via XMap to Google at least 10 times. Pending takes a week or so, and then I get a bunch of errors such as: Timeouts and Tablet errors
• When I test my sitemap using Google Webmaster Tools, I get server timeouts.
• If I try to load my sitemap, the sitemap takes forever to generate/display!
‌• My sitemap - http://givemeapps.com/index.php?option=com_xmap&sitemap=1&view=xml (yes I do enter it w/o the stuff before "index").

I am close to paying an expert to straighten this out because my site is not getting indexed properly. I have a ton of pages, SOBI2 stuff, Virtuemart stuff, Kunena stuff, and very few of it gets indexed (maybe only K2 stuff gets indexed). I know for a fact this is costing me tons of traffic.

My web developers are too busy ignoring my support tickets. Please help.
