Xmap creating 2 urls for kunena one with index one without

I'm running Joomla 2.5.4, Kunena 1.7.2 and Xmap 2.2.1 for some reason Xmap is creating 2 urls per topic for my kunena forum one with index in it and one without. This is causing issues with Google because it sees it as Duplicate content.

Were the changes Mantis from Kunena made to the 1.5 plugin incorporated into the Joomla 2.5 version?

Wow nothing? Are the developers still working on this project? Is anyone else with kunena seeing these issues?
