Yes you can do, but i have one question. You didn't mention that you are using images on wp posts by
1. Featured Image option
2. Adding image in the editor
3. Through Custom Fields

Re: Image in post
Hello,
In the current mod_wpposts version, 1.2, and for Joomla 2.5 only we have included the option to look for the post's Featured Image. If you enable this option and no Featured image is found, then it will continue looking for the post content first image, as before.
We have also added the possibility to create thumbnails rather than displaying the original WP image. This feature requires your server to have URL file-access enabled, otherwise the module will display the original image.
You can find this version in our usual download section.

Hello there,
First of all thanks for a great module!
I was wondering if you plan to add the option to use the Featured Image in the Joomla 1.5 version of the module.
Alternatively, would it be too difficult to "hack" helper.php to achieve this?
Your help is much appreciated!
Kind regards,
Javi

Hi there!
I'm having the same problem as javiriem two posts above.
The Joomla Version is 1.5 so I installed the plugin for 1.5. The featured image feature isn't included in that old version. Is it eventually possible to easily change the code in the old version?
Current WP version is installed. Unfortunately I can't update joomla because of some issues.
Thanks in advance for your support!
Joe
