Questions about the calendar
Hi there
First of all, thank you very much for this module. I really love it so far but I have some questions and also some sugestions to improve it even more.
Before I start with my things, you will find the integrated calendar under my homepage: http://www.pure-picutre-art.ch
Questions:
- how can I set up Joomla! 2.5 or the module, so it is using the news module to display selected articel? When you check my page and you click on 'News', you will see the latest news always. You can browse through the calendar gui and select a different news article. Clicking on it, it will display the articel outside of the news module and therefor is using not the wanted style. You also can see the behavior on the breadcrumbs on top.
- how can I get rid of the title 'Beiträge' on top? The articles are all written without displaying the title. It looks odd.
Sugestions for improvements:
- the marker for an article on a certain date is hard to recognize and can be easely missed. Could you probably insert a menu structure to alter the appearance for it?
I probably will have more questions or ideas to make this tool an unavoidable tool and a necessity for all Joomla based homepages
Many thanks for coming back with your answers.
Regards,
Excalibur

Re: Questions about the calendar
I always reccommend to have a Hidden Menu within your Menu Manager. In that menu you can create a new item (type=articles->Category blog/list) for your News Category.
That way, by configuring the new menu item, you can control the way your News articles are displayed.
Cheers!

Re: Questions about the calendar
Maybe I just don't understand what you just have explained me. My problem is not the news itself. The problem is that your calendar module doesn't stay within the news module and I can't control it, to behave like that.
Let me give you an example, based on two screenshots:
I clicked on my 'News' menu item. The calendar appeares and the news item is within a position properly embeded, since it uses the news module to display it.
Than I navigated to the 16th and selected the article available there.
Now the second call places the article outside of any module and the calendar is also gone. For my understanding the calendar module and the news module should be connected somehow. So, each time I select an article, it gets displayed properly within the news module.
Maybe I am doing something wrong here?
