The content layouts of the original Global News module allowed you to show the title, an intro text, the resized first image and the "Read More" link to your articles in different optional ways.

One of the first requests we granted was to include the article's date, which didn't take any big change to the code, but as another interesting feature was lately suggested, such as showing the number of comments from a particular component, we found it was getting more complicated to offer the most possible outputs as the module was conceived.

Joomla 1.5.7 Released

The Joomla Project is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Joomla 1.5.7 [Wovusani]. This is a security release and contains a number of bug fixes, improvements as well as security fixes. It is strongly recommended that users immediately upgrade. It has been nearly four weeks since Joomla 1.5.6 was released on August 12, 2008. The Development Working Group's goal is to continue to provide regular, frequent updates to the Joomla community.

Xmap 1.2 Released

Hi, we are glad to announce the release of the latest Xmap Version for Joomla 1.5, it works without the legacy mode enabled. This release fixes some problems with the SEF urls in Joomla 1.5.5 and introduces some new features. Also, this version fixes the well known problem with the duplicated menu items in the site map.

Now you can easily exclude any item from the site map by just a click directly from your front end when logged in as a Super Administrator.
